Circle K International, also known as CKI, provides opportunities for students to become more involved on their college campuses and surrounding communities through service work for others in need. CKI members have the chance to work with fellow students, children in the community, and other adults. Other CKI events include fun socials, fundraisers, and more!

UF CKI Annual Events

Trick-or-Treat for the Homeless

Trick-Or-Treat for the Homeless is an annual service project we do to help feed the homeless on Halloween night. Every October, we go around various neighborhoods in the Gainesville community asking if residents can collect canned food to help with our project. Then on Halloween night, we return to those houses (dressed in costume of course!) and collect the canned food, which we then donate to St. Francis House, a local food bank.

School Outreach

CKI is dedicated to reaching out to schools in the Gainesville area. Throughout the year, we collect donations for our Back-to-School Drive. We also participate in the annual Project Makeover event at a local elementary school.
One of our most popular programs is the Alligator Pals program. Alligator Pals allows CKI members to both write and receive letters throughout the year from a paired-up elementary school student. Circle K members act as a mentor for the elementary students, who enjoy practicing their reading and writing skills while hearing about what it's like to be a college student. Reading those Alligator Pal letters is sure to brighten anyone's day!

Relay for Life

CKI always makes a team for Relay For Life. Relay For Life is an annual event where teams raise money for cancer research and walk around a track for hours in support of all of the people who have suffered, or are currently suffering from cancer. All teams raise money before the event, and then each team has a booth with some sort of game or activity to raise money during the event. All in all, it's a very rewarding experience and all the money is donated to the American Cancer Society.
